Vacuums work by generating airflow to suck up dirt and other debris.
This airflow must then exit the vacuum after dirt has been deposited in the dust canister..Remove it by twisting it anti-clockwise until it can be gently pulled off the back of the machine..
Tap off excess dust and other debris into a bin..Fill the filter with cold water (open side up,) then gently rotate the filter to agitate any caught debris before tipping away the water.
Do not use hot water..Once again fill the filter with cold water, then put your hand over the top and gently shake.
